A77 set to close in November for major works!

The A77 will be closed between Friday 3rd November and Monday 6th November to start works on the Marchburn Slip.

The A77 Marchburn slip has caused many delays over the past 2 years after a severe land slip caused severe damage to the road.

Since the Landslip traffic lights have been in place but actions are now being taken to fix the issue and make the area safe.

The improvements come suddenly after the A77 action group approached the Scottish parliament yesterday with the public petition asking for the A77 to be upgraded for faster journey times and reliability for the road for the future.

The A77 will be closed both directions at Cairnryan for the major works and diversions will be in place via A714 and A75.
