Ardrossan Sailings Set to Depart From Troon for the Rest of Today

CalMac Update - Monday 7th October - Amended timetable from Troon

Pic - David Walker & ADN

Due to an improvement in the weather and the continued failure of both linkspans at Ardrossan, an amended timetable will operate, weather dependant, between Brodick & Troon.

The timetable will be as follows:

Depart Brodick – 13:55 (For traffic originally booked on 13:55)

Arrive Troon – 15:20

Depart Troon – 16:20 (For traffic originally booked on 15:20 Ardrossan departure)

Arrive Brodick – 17:40

Depart Brodick – 18:10 (For traffic originally booked on 16:40)

Arrive Troon – 19:30

Depart Troon – 20:15 (For traffic originally book on 18:00 Ardrossan departure)

Arrive Brodick – 21:40

Customers booked on the above sailings do not need to phone to rebook their sailings. Original tickets will be accepted.

Due to the weather forecast, the vessel will berth overnight in Brodick meaning the 19:20 sailing from Brodick is cancelled. Any traffic booked on this sailing are asked to call us to rebook on the delayed 16:40 sailing.

Due to using Troon as an emergency port whilst the linkspan issue is ongoing, please note there are no passenger facilities in Troon. Passenger facilities will be available on board as normal. Please take this into consideration when making plans to travel.

Customers are advised there are no parking facilities at Troon port. Therefore, foot passengers travelling by car need to park in Ardrossan and get the bus, provided by CalMac Ferries, to Troon. The bus for foot passengers will depart Ardrossan at 15:10 to connect with the 16:20 Troon departure and depart Ardrossan at 18:50 to connect with the 20:15 departure from Troon.

Please note: Unbooked customers and customers displaced from this morning’s sailings are advised to travel on the Claonaig - Lochranza service. Transport will be arranged for foot passengers from Ardrossan - Troon and Troon - Ardrossan.

CalMac is exerting pressure on Peel Ports to bring the Ardrossan Linkspan back into service. Investigations remain ongoing and we hope to resolve the issue with the linkspan as soon as possible.
