THE ICONIC Ayr High Rise flats are to come down after a South Ayrshire Council consultation.
The Skyline will be set to change forever in Ayr as the Riverside Place flats are to be demolished with 90 homes being built in their place.
It was decided that tenants from the three high rise blocks will be re-housed in existing council properties or new builds.
A consultation held with residents prior to the meeting said that 99 of them wanted to stay put, while 111 were in favour of the demolishing.
