Girvan Tattie Fest will return this month with the support of South Ayrshire-based Land Energy, helping to keep the popular community event free for families and visitors.

Now in its fifth year, the annual festival celebrates Girvan’s agricultural heritage and the famous Ayrshire Epicure potato.
This year’s event takes place at Louisa Drive, Girvan, on Saturday 13 June, from 1pm to 5pm, with two large marquees in place to help weatherproof the day.
David Bone, Communications Officer at Land Energy, said the company was proud to support the event.
He said: “As a South Ayrshire-based company, we are proud to support initiatives in the local area and beyond. We are delighted to sponsor the Girvan Tattie Fest and help celebrate one of the region’s most famous exports, second only perhaps to Robert Burns himself: the Ayrshire Epicure potato.

“The Ayrshire Epicure is a symbol of changing historical patterns, innovation and sustainable industry, subjects that we see reflected in our own work. Events such as the Tattie Fest are a fantastic way of bringing communities together while showcasing the best of the area’s strong farming and culinary traditions.”
Organised by GoGirvan, the festival will feature a packed programme of family entertainment.
Cath Maguire, Development Officer for GoGirvan and organiser of the festival, said support from local businesses and partners had made it possible to keep the event free.
She said: “GoGirvan is gearing up for Girvan Tattie Fest 2026 and, thanks to the generous support of all our supporters, including Land Energy, we are able to keep the event free of charge for all attendees.

“We are delighted to announce that the Girvan & District Pipe Band will officially open the festival at 11am. From there, visitors can enjoy the Circus in the Big Top, alpacas from Little Peru, a kite display and a silent disco. Under Sky will also be back with plenty of nature-based activities, making for a fun-filled family day out, and we will have free tickets available for the boating pond.
“Visitors can also browse a wonderful range of local craft stalls, and a selection of local refreshments will also be available on site, featuring delicious options from The Tattie Stop, Drift Coffee and Girvan Gelateria.”
This year’s celebrations will also include a fringe programme across the town.
The Wave will host an Open Doors event from 11am to 1pm, featuring a bouncy castle for children, tattie crafts and home baking.

Girvan Community Garden will continue the celebrations from 1pm to 8pm, with tickets priced at £5 and children admitted free. The programme will include live bands, a licensed bar and a range of tattie-based food.
Founded in 2006, Land Energy is now the UK’s largest producer of sustainable wood pellets and briquettes, supplying low-carbon renewable fuel to homes and businesses across the country.
The company also manufactures a range of sustainable products, including pizza pellets, cat litter, horse bedding and Solivita, an innovative fungal-based soil conditioner.
