An enormous amount of planning and preparation is required for an event of this size and Ayrshire Division have been working closely with a wide range of partners to make this is a safe and enjoyable event for everyone and to minimise disruption to the people of Ayrshire.

Part of the planning includes a comprehensive Traffic Management plan and today, Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendent Gillian MacDonald was on patrol with Sergeant Blackley from Ayrshire Division’s Road Policing Unit checking the progress of the Traffic Management and Event plans.

This promises to be a very exciting week for Ayrshire with visitors coming from around the world and we are looking forward to being part of it.
