The BUYMSH appeal said on Facebook: "We are delighted to announce that we will be running the 1st ever charity Zipslide in Ayrshire.
"We are working in partnership with the Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra who will be individually fundraising to raise money for one of their Annual Fiddle Orchestra tours planned for 2018. "We shall be raising money, as always towards building the new respite house in Ayrshire for children, young people and their families with cancer and other life altering illnesses in the UK". Saturday 17th June 2017 Location - Register at Millbrae Car Park, Ayr. You will Zipslide from there across the River Ayr to the far side of Ayr College. "We ONLY have 100 places available. Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra has 80. They will keep those allocated for their members. We would recommend that you register with us ASAP to avoid disappointment." Operating company - Zipslides UK Time - precise times will be given after you have paid your registration. #BUYMSH Zippers will start from 12 noon onwards. £45pp to register - this registration fee will go to Zipslides UK. £100pp minimum sponsorship to the charity. All proceeds we raise will go to #BUYMSH - Ayrshire Holiday Dreams Foundation (MSH). Charity Registration Number: SC047040 Consent forms will be provided and required to be signed on the day. Precise times will be given after registration and payment. This will be closer to the date. Weight restrictions - 17.5 stone maximum They said:
"Millbrae Car Park will be closed for us to use for registration and sale of refreshments and so forth. There will be additional opportunities to advertise and or promote your company through banner sponsorship and tshirt branding." Maxine Allan, CEO of the charity said - "This was the brainchild idea of Wallace Galbraith at the Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra. Wallace and his team brought Zipslides UK to Ayr and what a great idea! Wallace very kindly invited #BUYMSH to join them so that we both could raise money for our own causes. "The Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra will be inviting their musician members and their families and friends to take part. I believe that they've taken a great number of registrations already."
