A deep area of low pressure is expected to pass to the west of the Scotland on Monday although some models are suggesting that the low could push further East over the U.K.
Current weather charts are suggesting the worst of the winds out in the Atlantic although it will remain windy across Ayrshire with gusts around 60mph.
The main concern is the rain which will spread East over Ayrshire brining upto 20mm in a short space of time. If the low pushes further East then wind speeds could reach 80mph although it will remain slightly dried in this case.
Overall the weather looks very wet and windy on Monday but don't worry drier and more colder weather will arrive from Wednesday with some hints of snow towards the weekend.
