Begging Fuel Scam


From Police Scotland - be vigilant


Scammers come in a variety of guises. Recent information has been received that a male has been approaching people in car parks across the area asking for money as he states his car has run out of fuel.

It is believed that this may be a way of getting monies for other purposes. If you encounter this male, please do not provide him with money and contact Police Scotland to make your local community policing team aware.


Police Scotland can be contacted on 101 (Always 999 in an emergency).
