Police posted the news today that a body has been found in a wooded area in Kilmarnock.

The body is believed to be that of missing man Zak Mclean. A statement from Police Scotland said:
"With reference to our previous appeals, regarding 24-year-old Zak Mclean, who was last seen on Fullarton Street, Kilmarnock, around 2000hrs on Wednesday 11 January 2017, please note:
"Around 1115 hours on Thursday 19 January 2017, police received a report of the body of a man within a wooded area in Kilmarnock, near to the Knockinlaw Mount.
"The man is yet to be formally identified, but is believed to be Zak Mclean. Relatives have been informed.
"A post mortem examination will be carried out to establish the exact cause of death, which is not thought to be suspicious.
"A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
