Air France 379, en-route from Paris to Vancouver was diverted into Prestwick Airport this afternoon on a full Emergency scale.
There has been speculation that it was caused by fumes in the cabin; however, this has not been confirmed.
The plane is seen stopped on Runway 12, being inspected by the airport’s fire crews.
Three Airport fire appliances can be seen on the Runway.
Emergency services stopped all traffic surrounding the Airport for roughly 30 minutes.
This map from Flight Tracking app Flight Radar shows the planes flight path - it had flown north-west of Stornoway when it had to turn back to Prestwick.
We have contacted Prestwick Airport for comments.
