Police Scotland is seeking the assistance of the media and the public in trying to local a 44 year-old man missing from Ardrossan.
James (known as Jim) Larmour left his home address in McDowall Avenue, Ardrossan, in the early hours of Wednesday morning, 11 October 2017. He was reported missing by his family on Monday 16 October 2017 as they hadn’t heard from him which is unusual. Jim is around 5 ft 10 inches in height with a slim build and blue eyes. He is normally clean shaven and has close cropped brown hair. He was wearing a black shirt, dark jeans and black shoes. Extensive enquiries have been carried out to try and locate Jim, however all attempts to trace him have so far proved unsuccessful. Inspector Brian Skimming said: “Jim has never gone missing before and our concern is growing. It is out of character for him not to keep in touch with his family and friends and they are extremely concerned for him and just want to know he is safe and well. I would appeal to anyone who has seen Jim or who has any knowledge as to his whereabouts to contact us.” Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Saltcoats Police Station via 101, quoting Incident Number 463 of 16 October 2017.
