Breaking - Body found in search for missing Troon woman

With reference to our previous appeal regarding 48 year-old Carole Rennie, missing from Welbeck Crescent, Troon since Tuesday 10 April 2018, please note:

Around 12.30 pm on Monday 16 April 2018, police were called to a report of the body of a woman having been found in the water near the shore in Campbeltown. Formal identification is yet to take place however it is believed to be Carol Rennie. Her relatives have been informed. A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course and the death is not being treated as suspicious meantime.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
