Breaking - Flood alert issued for Ayrshire and Arran ahead of Storm Hector

A FLOOD ALERT has been issued for Ayrshire and Arran.


This alert is for coastal flooding along coast. Due to a combination of high tide and storm surge accompanied with strong winds, there is a risk of coastal flooding to low areas. Typical flooding impacts could be travel disruption and flooding affecting properties exposed in coastal areas. The time of greatest risk is around midday on Thursday.


Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.
