Ireland is set to impose travel restrictions on flights and ferries from the UK according to the PA news agency It’s been announced.
It is understood that the Irish government will make the move later this evening and the ban will last for an initial 48 hours before being reviewed during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday When the ban could be extended
An official announcement is expected in the coming hours with several other countries expected to soon follow.
France is also considering similar restrictions and are currently in meeting.
