Coldest weather since 2010 set to hit Ayrshire this weekend

The coldest weather since 2010 is set to arrive across Ayrshire this weekend with nightime temperatures around -14° in rural areas while daytime temperatures will struggle above 3-4°.

The blast of cold air will arrive from Skandanavia during Saturday bringing light winds and cold crisp days across Ayrshire however the coldest temperatures will be at night.

During the cold spell in 2010 temperatures widrly hit around -12° at night.
