Cumbrae Community Radio set to go live!

An exciting NEW project is set to go LIVE on the Isle Of Cumbrae & Largs. Members of the Millport community have built an online community radio station based in the West Lodge at Garrison House on the island.

The project is still in the early startup stage but is set to Go LIVE on the 1st of January 2018 and the committee are looking for volunteer trainee radio presenters on a membership basis.

Station Manager Stevie-M who already has a background in radio broadcasting has been head of fundraising and a presenter at HBSA Radio in the cross-house hospital for 4 years. He has interviewed a few celebrities in that time including Runrig's Calum MacDonald. Stevie says, "This is an exciting opportunity for the Millport community. It offers live entertainment and music via an online stream which would be easy to access simply by clicking a link or downloading an app.

We asked about memberships and if there are any age restrictions? "The memberships are open to ALL ages." Stevie said.

We finally asked Stevie, Where does anyone wishing to get involved contact? Application forms can be collected from Marina's Salon, Garrison House Office, emailing us at cumbraeradiolive@gmail.com or by contacting the facebook page Facebook.com/cumbraeradiouk.
