As you will understand, EAC have had to make significant changes to the way EAC deliver our services due to the current situation.
EAC have therefore had to make decisions that will allow us to continue to deliver essential services alongside ensuring that public health protection is the main priority. From Thursday 26 March 2020 we will:
Continue to collect general waste as per your 3 weekly collection schedule on your normal collection day
Anyone who currently receives the weekly nappy service should place the sacks within the general waste bin or double bag them and place them at the side of the general waste bin on your normal collection day
No brown bins, recycling trolleys or food waste will be collected until further notice.
There are no health risks associated with storing clean, dry recyclable materials. Rinse any containers and store these at home if at all possible. Please place food waste within your general waste bin.
Up to 3 additional bags will be uplifted as well as your general waste bin. Please do not place any bulky household items beside your bin as these will not be uplifted.
Please do not use local recycling points (e.g. supermarkets). We do not currently have the staff to service these or to clean up fly-tipped material.
The Household Waste Recycling Centre is now closed until further notice.
A number of our contractors have withdrawn recycling collections, with haulage companies focusing on the transport of essential goods.
All members of the public are advised to stay at home and only make essential journeys.
Thank you for your patience and co-operation during this very difficult situation.
