Emergency Department thanked for their care with a unique gift

Stuart Lancaster from Irvine has made a unique gift of a stained glass window to the Emergency Department (ED) at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Unfortunately, Stuart has had to attend the ED on more than one occasion due to his epilepsy. He has nothing but praise for all the people who have provided care for him in various wards at University Hospital Crosshouse:

“I just can’t thank the staff enough for everything they do for me. Art is therapeutic for me, and creating the stained glass is my way of expressing how much the care I have received means to me.

“The window is inspired by my experiences - it is an expression of what I see when I wake up, and the fact that I take a bow to the people who have helped me.”

The staff are delighted with their gift, and with the praise they have received from Stuart.
