Huge Early morning fire in Ayr destroys 'abandoned' Elms Court hotel

A huge early morning fire that started around 4am has destroyed the Abandoned Elm’s Court Hotel on Miller Road in Ayr.

Emergency services raced to the scene to battle the fire however much of the building including the roof has been destroyed with emergency services still on scene.

Miller Road remains closed and diversions are in place.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.
