Major roadworks set to take place on the A78 with delays expected

The A737 slip road from the A78 at Eglinton is set to close each night between February 13th and February 25th.

Drivers will be forced to divert via Pennyburn although the road works won't take place during Saturday or Sunday nights delays can still be expected especially around Eglinton.

Traffic scotland issued the following description and diversion details below.

1. A78 Northbound approach to Eglinton Int. Nearside Lane closure. 2. Eglinton Northbound off slip. 3. Eglinton Northbound on slip 4. Eglinton Southbound off slip 5. Eglinton Southbound on slip Vegetation Clearance Div2 – Cont to Pennyburn – A78 E/B – Follow Signs. Div3 – Follow signs to A78 W/B – Return A78 W/B Div4 – Cont Warrix – Return A78 W/B Div5 – Follow A78 W/B – Return to A78 E/B at Pennyburn. Closures will be progressive.
