Man is arrested following two alleged robberies in Girvan

A 34 year old man, on Sunday had been arrested by officers investigating two alleged robberies in Girvan.

The incidents took place at Nisa, Dalrymple Street, Girvan and Premier, Glendoune Street, Girvan on Saturday 16th April 2016.

Police arrest man in following Robberies.

Detective Constable McKellar, of Ayrshire CID, commented "incidents of this nature can cause significant distress for those involved - thankfully in this case no one was injured.

"We would like to thank the local community for their assistance in this enquiry.

"The man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the incidents and will be held in police custody to appear at court."
