Mum appeals to get help for 5 year old tragically ill daughter Tilly

AYR mum Michelle Sharkey appeals for any help she can get for her 5 year old daughter Tilly who was recently diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a brain tumour of the worst kind.

Michelle posted to Facebook for urgent help and her message has already went viral over-night with 23K shares.

She said: "As most people know my 5 year old daughter Tilly has become tragically ill. She has been diagnosed with a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a brain tumour of the worst kind with a very very poor outlook.

"I am completely devastated, my heart is breaking and I need help. I need your help please."

Over £10,000 has been raised to send Tilly on the most magical trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Paris to meet all of her favourite characters.

Mum Michelle went on to say: "This may sound desperate, I am desperate, I’m a mother that would die for her children, the way I see this is there are two choices, I sit back and watch, wait, or I fight with everything I have, cling onto every last ounce of hope, and don’t give in, as her mum that’s my job.

"I’m not ready to give in, to lose her. What I need is for everyone and anyone to share this message in the hope that it can reach someone who can work wonders beyond science, someone who believes they can help.

"I need this message to go viral, for people to share, to get it worldwide for somebody out there to please, please help my Tilly.

"If this can go as far wide as possible there must be someone out there who has an answer, an idea, I’m willing to try everything and anything.

"Please if you’re out there, get in touch with me, and help me. As a mum this is my calling to anyone who can help."

Tilly's sister Taylor said: "We are willing to travel as long as she gets cured it's a horrible horrible illness and I would die for her to be better. She has had 2 CT scans, an MRI and a biopsy and we have been told it's cancerous and it's DIGP and she has a year, we done some fundraising and managed to beat our £5000 target all the way too £9000."
