North Ayrshire Council adopt enhanced digital library services

North Ayrshire Council have developed their digital library services to keep communities connected during lockdown.

And although the doors are closed as a result of Covid-19, the Council’s core library services are still open for business online.

Once you become a library member, you will be able to take advantage of a host of digital library services including access to the free Library App, ebooks and audio books for all ages, storytelling sessions for children, online magazine titles, virtual book groups, free music streaming and more…

Councillor Louise McPhater, Cabinet Member for Connected Communities said:

“The Libraries, Information and Culture team is doing a fantastic job in ensuring our communities remain connected during lockdown.

“Our digital library services are designed to provide lots of opportunities for residents to engage with online activities and provide a means of connection and escapism during these challenging times.

“With lots of engaging resources for learning, literacy or simply for reading pleasure, I would urge everyone to get involved and start taking advantage of these fantastic services from the comfort and safety of your own home.”

Anyone living, working, or studying in North Ayrshire can become a library member and joining online is easy.
