Police appeal after Robbery at Kilmarnock convenience store


ROBBERY - KILMARNOCK

Detectives at Kilmarnock have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to trace following a robbery at a shop in Kilmarnock on Saturday 10 December 2016.

Around 1745 hours a man entered Knockinlaw Stores on Knockinlaw Road, Kilmarnock, and threated the female member of staff with a knife and demanded money. He then made off from the shop with a three figure sum of cash.

The man police want to speak to is described as of medium build. He was wearing a dark coloured hat and have a scarf wrapped round his face. He was also wearing a blue hooded jacket and dark-coloured jogging trousers.

Detective Constable David Lawson from Kilmarnock CID said:

"Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident and trace this man. I would ask anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image to get in touch as they may be able to assist us with our investigation.
