Police appealing for information after a man was assaulted near Castlehill in Ayr

Officers are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Ayr.



The incident happened at around 7.20am today (Sunday, 29 December) on Castlehill Road.


A 46-year-old man was assaulted resulting in minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.


Officers are following a positive line of enquiry.


At the time of the incident a light-coloured, possibly silver, taxi drove past and officers are appealing for the driver of this vehicle to come forward as a witness.
