Police are treating death of Galston man as ‘suspicious’

Officers in Ayrshire can confirm that they are treating the death of a man in Galston as suspicious.

Around 6.20 am this morning, Wednesday 24 July 2019, the body of a man was found in a flat in Wallace Street.


A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death.


Detective Chief Inspector Alan Sommerville, Kilmarnock Police Office, said:


“We are carrying out enquiries to establish what has happened to this man and are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard any form of disturbance in and around Wallace Street and Henrietta Street in Galston yesterday evening or in the early hours of this morning.


“We have been checking CCTV and speaking to people in the local area to try to piece together his movements and would urge anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to get in touch with us.”
