Following several reported incidents of alleged recent damage to property in the Tanyard, Cumnock Town centre enquiry was carried out by Cumnock LPT officers resulting persons involved being identified.
Officers also worked along with partners at East Ayrshire Council Anti-Social behaviour Ivestigation Team to take action against persons involved in disorder within the Town centre area.
Sergeant Mark Semple, Cumnock LPT said:
Property damage has a significant impact on the local community and cannot be justified under any circumstances. The actions of Cumnock LPT officers and our partner at East Ayrshire Council ASBIT highlights our commitment to tackling anti-social behaviour within our community.
I ask that if parents suspect their child to be engaging in such acts to take action to discourage and prevent incidents from occurring.
I would also like to thank members of the community who assisted police with this enquiry and would encourage anyone with information about any acts of criminality to contact Police Scotland, on 101 ( in emergencies always dial 99) or speak to local officers
Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers who can be contacted on 0800 555 111
