Thousands of visitors will flock to Kilmarnock in the coming weeks for an out of this world show inspired by the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.
Illuminight has returned to Dean Castle & Country Park for its third year with a new space themed show. The event, presented by East Ayrshire Leisure, takes place from Wednesday 23rd October to Sunday 17th November 2019.
Inspector Jason Peter, of Kilmarnock Locality Policing Team, said
“we have been working with the event organisers and our partners to plan for a safe event.
“Illuminight has become a much loved event in the local calendar and from speaking with visitors this week the 2019 show has not disappointed.
“The area around Dean Park will be particularly busy with additional pedestrians and vehicles. A comprehensive traffic management plan is in place and drivers are encouraged to reduce their speed in the area, to pay particular attention to event signage and to follow directions given by event staff.
“If you are heading along be sure to wrap up warm, wear appropriate footwear, stick together with families and friends and arrange a place to meet should you become separated.
“We will have officers on patrol in the area so be sure to say hello.”
