POLICE NEWS: Kilmarnock drugs arrest

On Saturday the 9th June 2019 officers from the Divisional Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit executed 2 Sheriff Search Warrants at properties in Fulton’s Lane and Hill Street, Kilmarnock.

On searching both properties a quantity of suspected Class B and C drugs were seized. 2 men both aged 43 and two woman aged 29 and 72 will be subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal for being in possession of alleged controlled drugs under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.


Following futrther enquiry by officers A 29 year old woman will be reported for possessing an air weapon without a license.


PC Andrew Hamilton, of the Divisional Alcohol Violence Reduction Unit said:

"Drug dealing continues to be highlighted as a concern by members of the community in East Ayrshire.


Drugs misuse and supply will not be tolerated in our communities and we will continue to listen to the public who support us in tackling this issue.
