Police Scotland are appealing for assistance to trace a young woman missing from her home in Ayr

Police Scotland officers at Ayr are appealing for assistance from the media and the public in an effort to trace a young woman missing from her home in Ayr.

Farrah Fadli (or Gillespie) who is 29 years old, of Thornyflat Drive, Ayr, was last seen on Wednesday 12 October at 11am by one of her friends. Farrah is described as 5ft 4inches in height, of slim build with dyed blonde hair. It is not known what clothes she was wearing at the time she went missing.

It is believed that Farrah was with her two children when she went missing, McKenzie Scullion who is 10 years old and Eva Kerr who is 4 years old.

McKenzie is described as around 4ft 10inches, average build, with brown hair and blue eyes. Eva Kerr is described as average height and build for her age, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Inspector Jim Hendrie, of Ayr Police Office, said:

"Farrah has never gone missing before and it is believed at this time that she may have gone missing with her two children, which is very concerning.

"Whilst at this time we don't have any information that they may have come to harm, Farrah hasn't been in touch with anyone since Wednesday, which is out of character. We're continuing enquiries to trace Farrah and her children, because as time passes, we are becoming very concerned for their welfare.

"I would ask anyone who knows where Farrah is to contact police. It is imperative that we find her and her two children safe and well."

Anyone with information on Farrah, McKenzie or Eva is asked to contact police on 101.
