Popular ASK Restaurant Closed After Staff Member Tests Positive For COVID-19

Arthur Street Kitchen in Ayr will be closed until Monday 5th July after a member of staff tested positive for COVID-19, ASK issued the following statement on Facebook this afternoon.

Due to a SINGLE member of our team testing positive for COVID19, and spoken to NHS tracing team today, We are now closed until Monday 5th July for the welfare of the staff and their families.
All staff have had PCR tests today but the majority of the team are still required to isolate until midnight on the 4th July as close contacts.
At this time NHS test and protect are happy with all procedures in place that are above and beyond current guidance and the risk is low as the staff member did not work all weekend and we all acted quickly., While we are closed, cleaning teams will be in as you have seen in other venues, and we will be maintaining the higher standard of sanitisation that you have all experienced while in Arthur Street Kitchen and we will be back again very soon.
We have staff working through bookings but if you have booked online from now until Sunday please cancel if possible, Phone is currently not manned but a divert will be in place tomorrow.
Our other restaurants will remain open as normal
STAGEDOOR CAFE - from tomorrow 9am.
HOLLYBUSH INN - from Wednesday at 11.30am.
