PRINCIPAL TO LEAVE AYRSHIRE COLLEGE IN SPRING 2019

The Principal of Ayrshire College, Heather Dunk OBE, will retire from her post in the spring of 2019. The announcement was made this week and the Board of Management will begin the recruitment process for a new Principal in September.



The former Principal of Kilmarnock College, Mrs Dunk, led the creation of Ayrshire College in 2013 and established the College as one of the most successful in Scotland. Her vision, pragmatic approach and partnership working established the College as a key partner across Ayrshire.


Willie Mackie, Chair of the Board of Management said “Over the last five years, Heather has transformed Ayrshire College. Her vision of raising aspirations, inspiring achievement and increasing opportunities has been delivered. She has supported thousands of students to achieve their ambitions and provided inspirational leadership for staff.”



Heather Dunk said “I have enjoyed every moment of my time in Ayrshire and I am privileged to be the Principal of the College. I have been fortunate to work with an amazing team who truly believe in going the extra mile for our students. I still have lots to do over the coming months and will continue to do my very best for the people of Ayrshire.”
