Should Ayr high street remain closed to traffic?

With the latest unsafe building at the bottom of the town closing Ayr high street do you think the high street should be closed permanently to traffic?

Yesterday the high street was closed until further notice due to a structural issue with the old shop beside the former Woolworths building that has since been demolished

Today many people have been enjoying walking down the town without the worry of big trucks or buses going down the town so we ask, Do you think the high street should be eventually closed to all traffic?
