With schools well and truly out for their summer break , South Ayrshire Council has lots going on to keep everyone entertained until 18 August.
Our School's Out programme has an array of different activities - there are some old favourites but plenty of new experiences too.
You can play football, short tennis, badminton, basketballand have a go at gymnastics but have you ever thought about Kayaking?
Our Kayak taster sessions are available for 8-16 year olds and take place in our swimming pools at Troon, Prestwick, Maybole and at the Citadel too.
These sessions are free, but you will need to pre book, check out www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/schoolsout for more detail.
For anyone looking for outdoor water based adventure there is free coastal rowing which takes place at the slipway, Troon Marina on Tuesday's for 4 weeks. The rowing will be weather dependant, please phone 01292 319357 for more information.
If you need to brush up on your swimming skills before heading to the coastal rowing, help is at hand. Our swimming pools at, Prestwick, Troon, Maybole and the Citadel have one to one lessons and even intensive instruction if required.
The Citadel is also the venue for a multitude of sports as part of the Council's Learn 2 programme. These sessions take place every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. There are also all day sports camps at the Citadel for six weeks.
Ayrshire is the home of golf and we have plenty of tuition available for the budding golfer inspired by The Open.
There are 3 day golf camps at Belleisle, Troon, Girvan and Dalmilling and tuition is available for beginners through to the more experienced golfer.
These camps are always popular so please remember to book in advance.
Learn 2 disability sport has an exciting programme of events at Whitletts Activity Centre in Ayr this summer with a choice of AUFA football camp, Para sport camp, Powerchair football and wheelchair basketball.
Councillor Bill Grant, Economic Development, Tourism and Leisure Portfolio Holder said: "This summer really is an exciting opportunity to try new things, ensuring our young people not only keep fit and active but have fun too.
We never know what the weather is going to do in Scotland so there are plenty of indoor activities just in case.
"The Summer Holiday club at Dundonald Activity Centre is always good fun and a great way for youngsters to try new things and build friendships too."
