There is no excuse to be bored this summer with over 220 events being run for children across East Ayrshire by the Council’s Vibrant Communities.
Each event focuses on fun and is packed full of great activities like parachute games, arts and crafts, cake decorating and messy play. This year Vibrant Communities has joined forces with the Council’s Onsite Services team to provide a free, locally sourced, healthy and nutritious packed lunch for any child who pre-registers to attend any of their events. Councillor Douglas Reid, Leader of the Council joined in the summer fun at Hillhead Primary. He said: “The annual programme of free events run by the Council is a great opportunity to come along and have fun. “There is also a free, healthy lunch for those who pre-register. So why not take advantage of this great opportunity and enjoy the summer by staying active and eating healthier.”
