TRAVEL: A77 Bogend Toll to Spitalhill overnight closure planned

ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE ON A77 BOGEND TOLL TO SPITALHILL COMMENCES 26th NOVEMBER

Essential maintenance on the northbound A77 between Bogend Toll to Spitalhill will take place overnight, from 8pm to 6am each night, on Thursday 26th November to Sunday 29th November 2020. The road will open as normal out with these times.

This scheme, with a value of £172,000, will benefit road users by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in future. A full closure is required at this location while these works are taking place, with a signed diversion in operation.

Northbound traffic will leave the A77 at Dutch House Roundabout, and proceed on the westbound A78 to Monktonhead Roundabout and follow the A78 northbound. From here, vehicles will will travel to the Warrix Interchange to join the A71 east towards Bellfield Interchange and re-join the northbound A77.

This diversion is expected to add an additional 10mins to the average journey time. Please plan your journey accordingly. This scheme has been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland, Traffic Scotland and South Ayrshire Council.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
