Police have today confirmed that a 42 year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of Ardrossan man Paul Cairns.
Paul died at his house in Nithsdale Road in Ardrossan. Paul’s partner was at the scene at the time of the incident and was unhurt.
The man charged in connection with the death is set to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday 26th May, 2020.
Police Scotland said in a statement this morning:
“With reference to our previous release regarding the death of Paul Cairns, 42, at a house in Nithsdale Road, Ardrossan, on Sunday, 24 May, 2020, please note:
“A 42-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the death and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
“He is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 26 May, 2020.”
