A few showers across Argyll through the morning but generally a dry day with some good spells of sunshine developing, especially around Glasgow and across Lanarkshire. Occasionally fresh northwesterly breeze. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

• Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Bright start Wednesday but cloudier later with some rain for Argyll. Cloudier Thursday with outbreaks of rain, perhaps heavy across Argyll. Rather cloudy Friday but rain dying out. Breezy.
