Wilko's staff get to grips with litter pickers for big beach clean

Staff from Wilkinsons in Ayr High Street got into the spirit of helping to keep Ayr beach clean with their BIG Bag It & Bin It, fun day on Saturday.

Assistant manageress, Clare Price told the Ayrshire Daily News that there was no shortage of volunteers from the store's fabulous staff and it's another positive step forward in keeping Ayr clean to welcome and encourage beach users to help tidy up after themselves.

The volunteers were as follows: Clare Price, Hope Stark, Lyndsey Deans, Lisa Borland, Andrew McDonald, Robbie Kemp, Ellis Jackson and Scott Murray.

Last year Ayrshire Daily News spearheaded a campaign along with councillor Siobhan Brown to give out refuse bags to beach users.
