Woman 38 taken to hospital and 62-year-old man arrested after a serious incident in Prestwick

Police issued the following update this morning:

Around 9.45 pm last night, Wednesday, 21 October, 2020, police were called after a 38-year-old woman was found injured in Main Street, Prestwick.

She was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Ayr where she remains for treatment.  No further details.

A 62-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing.
