Adrossan coastguard team respond to Irvine callout

TEAM RESPOND TO CALLOUT IN IRVINE


The Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team was called out shortly after 5pm following reports of a female threatening to enter the water at Irvine.



The team responded immediately with one team member kitting up in full water rescue equipment ready for immediately deployment into the water should it be required once arriving on scene.


As the team was proceeding towards Irvine, and update was received that the female was no longer in danger of entering the water and in the care of paramedics.


The team continued to scene to liaise with partner agencies and it was confirmed no other persons were in distress or in danger of entering the water.



The team has thereafter stood down and returned to station to complete the necessary paperwork before booking off duty and returning home to continue their Sunday evening


The Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to respond to those in need at the coast and beyond.
