Ayr Gaiety Climbs to the Top with Five Star Christmas Panto

A GIANT of a Pantomime has landed in Ayr – ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ at The Gaiety has already captured the imagination of Ayrshire.

Sir Hector, Dame Aggie Trott, Jack Trott

Filled with local references and humor, The Gaiety presents a pantomime unique to Ayrshire written by Ken Alexander and Fraser Boyle, and created by a hugely talented and respected Scottish creative team, selected from some of the top theatres and organisations throughout the UK. Starring Karen Bartke [Scot Squad] as Sluggie Thunderpants, Chris Forbes [Scot Squad] as Dame Aggie Trott, Gavin John Wright [River City] as Jack Trott, Kirsty Malone [Sunshine On Leith] as Fairy Bluebell, David McGowan [Trust Me] as Sir Hector, Laird of Auchinfleg, and Jillian Cunningham [The Bee Eaters] as Fair Fiona.

Taking you on a journey to the Ayrshire village of ‘Auchinfleg’, the villagers are in fear of the Giant Grobmagob who is taking everything they own. When the Giant’s evil sidekick Sluggie Thunderpants tricks Jack Trott into handing over his beloved Coo Patsy to be eaten, the magical story of bravery, triumph and friendship unfolds with glittering scenery, beautiful costumes, and wonderfully witty jokes.
