BREAKING - Two men aged 17 and 18 have been arrested after hit-and-run on A77 kills woman aged 59


Two men aged 17 and 18 have been arrested in connection with the death of Joan Price, who was killed in a hit-and-run in Ayr on Monday night.

A statement from Ayrshire Police said: "With reference to our previous release regarding the death of 59 year old Joan Price following a hit and run road crash on the A77, near to Holmston Road Roundabout, Ayr, around 2135 hours on Monday 30 January 2017, please note:

"Two men, aged 17 and 18, have been arrested and detained in police custody in connection with the incident.

"Enquiries into the crash are continuing."


Police later confirmed another man aged 19 has also been arrested.

They said: “A 19-year-old man has now been arrested an is presently detained in police custody in connection with the incident.“A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
