Get discovering Ayrshire this summer and visit Dunure Castle
The Schools are out for the summer holidays and now has never been a better time to start discovering what Ayrshire has to offer this summer and look no further than the lovely small village and Castle of Dunure.
Dunure Castle is located on the west coast of Scotland, in South Ayrshire about 5 miles south of Ayr. Today the castle stands in ruins on a rocky promontory on the Carrick coast, overlooking the small harbour of Dunure. Dunure is easy to find just off the A719 just passed Craig Tara, Dunure is also linked with the Stagecoach 361 bus service taking you straight into the heart of the village and Castle.
On arrival you will be greeted with amazing and simply breathtaking views of the Firth of Clyde and Arran and if you wait around until Sunset the views get even better.
A shop is also in the village for refreshments and even an Ice-Cream.
