Here is everything you need to know about Burns On the Beach

South Ayrshire Council is set to launch a new and exciting event for Ayrshire called 'Burns On the Beach'.

The event is set to attract people of all ages to head to the pier end of Ayr Beach where you will 'experience Robert Burns as you never have before'.

The event will feature unique light and sound attractions and you are advised to courie in and embrace the winter beach vibe as you enjoy the bonfire warmth and capture a flavour of our creative bard from the coast where he grew up.

Celebrate our very own bard as well as our stunning coastline with an aerial light show, illuminated pier, poetry path and an immersive moving images experience at The Watchful boat. (These attractions all run on a loop so you can see them anytime between 7pm and 10pm).

There will be a Tribute tae Tam performance running at 7pm and 9pm, a Poi performance at 8pm and also a Burning Burns finale to the sound of authentic Scottish tribal band Clanadonia at 9:30pm.
