ROBBERY - KILMARNOCK

Detectives at Kilmarnock have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to trace following a robbery at a shop in Kilmarnock on Saturday 10 December 2016.

Around 1745 hours a man entered Knockinlaw Stores on Knockinlaw Road, Kilmarnock, and threated the female member of staff with a knife and demanded money. He then made off from the shop with a three figure sum of cash.

The man police want to speak to is described as of medium build. He was wearing a dark coloured hat and have a scarf wrapped round his face. He was also wearing a blue hooded jacket and dark-coloured jogging trousers.

Detective Constable David Lawson from Kilmarnock CID said:

"Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident and trace this man. I would ask anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image to get in touch as they may be able to assist us with our investigation.

"Anyone with information can contact Kilmarnock Police Office through 101. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
