VANDALISM - IRVINE

Officers are appealing for information after a house window was smashed in Irvine in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Around 2 am on Friday 10 August 2018 a man threw a stone at a house window on Seaton Terrace, Irvine. He was then seen making off along Ashgrove in the direction of Livingstone Terrace.

Detective Constable Nicola Fraser, Saltcoats CID, said:

“Although nobody was injured during this incident, this man has caused a considerable amount of damage. We take incidents like this very seriously.

“Officers have been checking CCTV and know that the suspect was wearing a balaclava and dark clothing.

“We are appealing for anyone who has any information, or may have been in the area during the time of the incident. Think back, were you driving in and around the Irvine area in the early hours of Friday morning, could you have dash-cam footage that could help us?”

Anyone with information should contact Saltcoats CID via 101, quoting incident number 0918 of Friday 10 August 2018. Alternatively you can contact CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
