Police are appealing to help trace missing man Anthony Lowey from Ardrossan

MISSING MAN – ANTHONY LOWEY – ARDROSSAN


Police Scotland is seeking the assistance of the media and the public in trying to locate a 51 year old man missing since Tuesday 26 December 2017.


Anthony Lowey was last seen by a family member on Boxing Day when he was dropped off at his home in Hunter Avenue, Ardrossan around 1500 hrs.


Anthony is around 5ft. 8 inches in height, with short brown hair and a slim build. He has a goatee beard and tattoos on his lower arms which say Mum and Dad and Marianne. When last seen he was wearing a navy blue fleece with a cream coloured jacket over the top, although he may have changed clothes by now.


Anthony was reported missing to the police on Friday 29 December 2017 and enquiries carried out have established that a member of the public saw him around 1530 hrs in Glasgow Road at the junction of Parkhouse Road in Ardrossan on Thursday 28 December 2017.


Anthony is well known in the community, he has recently been dealing with some personal issues and concern is growing for his wellbeing. His family just want to know he is safe and well.


Sergeant Allison McIntyre said:


“We are checking CCTV footage from in and around the area and are appealing to anyone who may have seen Anthony or who knows anything about his whereabouts to contact us. Anthony keeps in contact with his family and the fact that he hasn’t been in touch for a few days is concerning. They are understandably worried and just want him home safe and well. If anyone as any information, please do call us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call officers at Irvine Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 0936 of 29 December 2017.
