Police Re-appealing for a man missing who was visiting Ayrshire

Officers searching for missing 58 year-old German tourist Valerij Tomarenko, are issuing a further appeal for information after his car was found at Ardrossan ferry terminal.

Sergeant Allison McIntyre of Saltcoats Police Office, said:

“Extensive inquiries are ongoing to trace Valerij who was last in contact with his family on Wednesday 14 August 2019, when he was staying at accommodation in Springburn, Glasgow.

“His hire car, a silver Hyundai i10 with the registration number EG68 FHA was seen heading south on the M77 towards Ayr on Thursday 15 August 2019. Officers carried out numerous enquiries to trace the vehicle in Ayrshire, and it was found at Ardrossan ferry terminal last night.
