Police Re-appealing to help find missing Robert Black from Irvine
RE-APPEAL - MISSING PERSON – ROBERT BLACK - IRVINE
Police Scotland is appealing for information from the public to help trace 58 year-old Robert Black who has been missing from Irvine since Friday 14 September 2018.
From our enquiries so far, Robert was seen getting on a bus at Irvine Cross around 11.25 am on Friday morning and then getting off at Kilmarnock Bus Station about 11.50 am. It's not known where he went after that.
Robert is described as being white, between 5ft 8 and 5ft 10, of heavy build with greying-brown receding hair. He is clean shaven, occasionally wears glasses and is well spoken. When last seen he was wearing a light coloured knitted jumper over a shirt and tie, a dark coloured suit jacket and trousers and a three-quarter length fawn coloured jacket with a collar. He was also carrying a black holdall style bag and a black and yellow River Island carrier.
Sergeant Stewart Slaven, Irvine Police Office, said:
“As time goes on, we are growing increasingly concerned for Robert, who requires daily medication to assist with his general wellbeing.
“He has travelled extensively on his own in the past, usually on the train to places such as London, Exeter, Cornwall and Ireland.
“Officers have been checking CCTV and working with partners at British Transport Police and travel companies to try and trace Robert to make sure he is safe and well.
“We would ask anyone who has seen anyone matching his description to come forward and contact us. He is a friendly gentleman who is likely to chat to those he meets when travelling and therefore you may have spoken to him.
”Anyone with information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 3466 of Friday 14 September 2018.
